One-way Motorcycle Transports from the U.S.

Transport

Your motorcycle will be transported in a collection container for vehicles only. Potential delivery points are Los Angeles, New York and Miami. In any case, Bremerhaven is your port of destination. You have the option to book retrieval by the seller. Our partner in the US will pick up your motorcycle with a car transporter (upon request in a closed vehicle). Depending on the speed of the American customs, duration of transport will be between approx. 20 days and 6 weeks plus some time for retrieval. It is possible to deliver your unpacked motorcycle to your premises.

Customs

For the export from the US, the original title must be presented for retrieval. The title will be handed over to the American export customs and automatically shipped to Germany after departure of the vessel.
Customs clearance of the vehicle will be effected by us on the basis of the invoice or sales contract submitted. In exceptional cases, American customs demand a proof of payment concerning purchase. You should take into account that import duties (customs + turnover tax on imports) in the amount of approx. 30% of the purchase price arise. An exact calculation as well as conditions for a so-called customs clearance for vintage cars amounting to 6% of the purchase price can be found on the website of the German customs.

Contract and Payment

When you are ready to purchase, we will prepare a forwarding contract. Please return with your signature. We need the contact details of the seller as well as a copy of the title and the sales contract. Billing of transport will be effected close to collection/handing over of your motorcycle, we do not charge any deposit when the contract is concluded!

Transport Insurance

As an option, we offer a transport insurance against total loss and transport damage of your motorcycle. The premium amounts to 0.95% of the vehicle value, at least € 95.00. Paint damages and oxidation are excluded, vehicles older than 9 years are insurable against total loss only. Please note that additional luggage stowed in the transport box is uninsurable. We recommend to inform yourself about a traveller´s baggage insurance. In case of damage, it must be visible from outside. Retention comes to € 500.00 per claim.

Prices

The costs from Bremerhaven account for € 1,195.00 to the East Coast and € 1,295.00 to the West Coast including all port and handling charges. Potential costs for retrieval in the US are calculated individually. A delivery ex Bremerhaven is possible for € 250.00 all over Germany.
The prices are based on current fares and include present fuel and security charges as well as fees for dangerous goods.
